It’s HOT in Florida which means frozen anything can be eaten year-round.
My peach craving finally won so to cure my desire for the fuzzy fruit and help me cool off at the same time, I decided to make Peach Frozen Yogurt. Some might say I’m a yogurt fanatic but it really satisfies my tart-tooth.
I was also in a hurry when I made this decision. Here is a quick and easy way to make this refreshing delight! Did I mention peaches have excellent benefits? Here are just a few.
What I used:
- Organic peaches
- Agave nectar
- Greek yogurt (non-fat or whole)
- Fresh lemon juice
- Mint (optional)
What I did:
Cut the skin off of the peaches.
Combine the peaches, agave nectar (or honey), yogurt and lemon juice into the food processor. Process until creamy, about 1 minute. Taste puree and see what it make be lacking. Does it need more honey? I rarely measure anything and base everything off of taste. More peaches, perhaps? You can also add whole blueberries after you mix, which I think would taste great and add color.
Pour in a bowl with cover and place in the freezer until frozen (about 5 hours). Serve and garnish with mint. Note: If you simply can’t wait 5 hours to eat your yogurt then start with frozen peaches. If you make the original recipe in the morning it will be ready by lunch!
The yogurt can be stored it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
